About Bo Dollis and the Wild Magnolias

Bo Dollis Jr. was born in the beautiful city of New Orleans Jan.22, 1981. He first began singing in his father’s Indian gang at the age of 13. After seeing that he was a chip off the old block, Bo’s dad decided it was time to put him (at 15) on stage. He began to travel the world, giving them a little taste of the New Orleans Indian and Mardi Gras culture.

In the midst of all that Bo found time to finish high school and also attend The John Casablanca school of modeling and acting which only added to his already God given gift to please and entertain his audiences. The performances and travels kept rolling all across the country and abroad. As years went on the health of Big Chief Bo began to decline and Bo jr. took over the legacy with “The Wild Magnolias” completely. As Bo’s popularity grew he began to broaden his resume by doing commercials, appearing on the HBO series Treme, the news, and various festivals and venues around the world. He’s been to: Japan, Brazil, Paris, Australia, Germany, Canada, and more. Bo Dollis Jr.& The Wild Magnolias are currently in the studio creating history, their new double CD entitled “A New Kind Of Funk”! It’s scheduled to be released around Mardi Gras 2012.
